Biography

Tiffany R. Mimms, Ph.D. (she/her) is the Founder of The Rosetta Center for Counseling and Wellness, Inc.: A Place for Health, Healing, and Hope in Sacramento, CA. She is a Clinical Psychologist, and Executive and Life Coach with over 20 years’ experience providing psychological services for a wide range of clinical issues in a variety of settings including hospital inpatient units, elementary, junior and senior high schools, university mental health centers, sexual assault/domestic violence treatment centers, and has owned a private practice. Dr. Mimms specializes in various types of trauma, including intimate partner violence, child abuse, sexual assault, and racial oppression. Dr. Mimms is a regular speaker, trainer, and consultant to educational institutions and community organizations on topics such as Trauma-Informed Care, Mental Health and Wellness in the Workplace, Self-Care, and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice. Previously she was Clinical Faculty at California Northstate University and a Clinical Supervisor for Los Rios Community College District’s Student Mental Health Intern Training Program. She has conducted research on domestic violence homicide, the experiences of Black college students on predominantly White university campuses, and the psychological concerns of African American women and girls. Dr. Mimms grew up in Southern California, but currently resides in Sacramento, CA with her husband, 3 kids and dog, Butter. If she wasn’t a psychologist, she would like to be a professional organizer and party planner extraordinaire.
